The poverty means people having too  low income to meet their life requirement. Pakistan is a developing country have a few resources. As Pakistan has been facing many problems since it came into existence e.g. the rehabilitation of millions of the  refugees migrated from India, Kashmir issue, Distribution of water issue etc.  Pakistan had to fought a war against India in 1965. Unfortunately Martial law regime adversely worsened the process of democracy in Pakistan. It was a set back in 1971 when the East Pakistan a province of Pakistan became as independent country namely Bangaladesh. THE earthquakes and the floods etc was caused a destruction of  its economy at a large scale. The high rate of growing population is also a burning issue. Now Pakistan is also a victim of the terrorism which is adversely effecting its economy. The another cause of poverty is the lowest rate of literacy in it. Natural resources have not been explored properly. The industrialization has been ignored. Basically Pakistan is an agricultural country but not attention has been given to its development. The health facilities are not available to the public. Majority of the people are unable to get their treatment due to lack of sources. However, in the following way eradication of the poverty may be possible:-

1. More attention may be given to the education sector. Maximum budget may be allocated. Opportunities may be provided to the people for general education, professional education, health education, technical education, coeducation, adult education, special education, children education, women education  etc. So that the literacy rate may be increased and the educated people can actively participate in the development of the country and particularly for the betterment of its economy.

2.   Attention must be given to the industrialization. As there will be more and more industries there will be more opportunities of employment. It has dual benefits as the unemployment can be diminished and economy boost up.

3. Agricultural sector can be developed in this way we can increase in our products and dependence on import can be minimized and export accelerated. Agriculture Sector can play a vital role in boosting up the economy. In this way we can step forward to the self reliance.

4.  There are large  natural  reservoirs in Pakistan which has always been ignored, by exploring and utilizing them we make our economy better and overcome the energy crises as well.

5. To meet the challenge of energy crises we must take steps to increase the power generation by construction dams and producing atomic energy.
