These all oceans are connected to each other. These oceans are the major source of saline water. According to the estimate by the scientists, there are about 230,000 marine species have discovered. A large number of marine species have still to be found. marine species are strongly correlated with the depth of oceans and its distance from the sea shores.

Ocean Animals:

Angelfish: Angelfish are brightly-colored, flattened fish that live in shallow warm waters. Although they are a little delicate when small, they grow fast and get stronger.

Basking shark: Basking shark is found in almost every atmospheric ocean. It is a huge filter feeder and the second largest fish after whales. They are usually grayish-brown in colour. They have very small and numerous teeth often one hundred in one row of the jaw. They are migrating in nature and often found in deep waters. They are also a good source of food.

Bivalves: Bivalves are soft-bodied animals that are protected by two hard shells, hinged together. They are highly toxic in nature. They can burrow into the sediment or live on the ocean floor. They can also migrate through the water by the help of their shells.

Blowfish: Other names of blowfish are puffer fish or fugu. They are toxic in nature. They can swallow water to become double in their sizes. There are nearly 100 kinds of fugu worldwide, 38 of them found in Japan.

Blue Shark: Blue shark is a sleek, fast-swimming shark with blue skin. They are one of the most easily recognized sharks. They have a distinct colour, a deep indigo blue from above and a vibrant blue on its sides. They can easily migrate long distances, from one continent to another continent.

Blue Whale: Blue Whale is the largest animal that ever lived on Earth. They live in small groups. Blue whales can dive for up to an hour, going to a depth of 350 feet.

Brittle Star: Brittle Stars are invertebrates with long, spiny arms that live on the sea floor. They are usually found in the coral reefs and shallow waters almost everywhere on deep waters.

Clown Fish: They are colorful fish that live among sea anemone. It inhabits the warm waters of the tropical Pacific Ocean, the Red Sea, the Indian Ocean, and Australia’s Great Barrier Reef.

Crab: A crab is small animal with a shell. It has eyes on stalks on its head. They have an exoskeleton, an outer shell that protects them from predators and provides support.

Harbor Seal: Harbor Seals are mammals. They live in the oceans. they breathe air and often found on temperate and Arctic coastline of Northern Hemisphere. They have grey or usually brown fur on their bodies.

Jellyfish: Jellyfish are the free swimming animals with stinging tentacles. They are clever hunter but have no brain. Many jellies in the class Hydrozoa, such as this hydromedusa Aglantha digitale, are transparent and easily overlooked.

Sea Cucumber: Sea cucumbers are cylinder-shaped echinoderms. They belong to the Holothuroidea class of echinoderms. They have soft body and look like cucumber.

Sea Urchin: Sea Urchin is a spiny, globular animal that lives on the ocean floors. They are invertebrates with long protective spines. They move slowly from one place to another and mostly feed upon algae.

Seahorse: Seahorse is the most strange fish that lives in the warm waters. Seahorse can change its colour in order to save itself from enemies. They have armored plates all over their body.

Snail: Snail is an invertebrate animal that have soft body with a hard, protective shell over it. It has also a head and foot.

Spotted Dolphin: Spotted Dolphin is a marine specie which can be found in almost every temperate and tropical oceans worldwide. these dolphines are small toothed fishes. They belong to mammalia class of vertebrates. They can easily identified by their long beaks sharply demarcated from the melons, slender body, strongly recurved fin and spotted body.

Whale: Whales are common marine mammals with large bodies. They breathe air and have lungs rather than gills. They have a complex family and social structure. These are intelligent animals like human being.
