1. Donald Bradman

Sir Donald George Bradman, often referred to as “The Don”, was born on 27 August 1908. He was an Australian cricketer, widely acknowledged as the greatest batsman of all time

During a 20-year playing career, Bradman consistently scored at a level that made him, world’s famous cricketer. . Bradman’s career Test batting average of 99.94 has been claimed to be statistically the greatest achievement in any major sport.

On 19 November 2009, Sir Donald Bradman was inducted into the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame.

2. Garfield Sobers

Sir Garfield St Aubrun Sobers was born on 28 July 1936 in Bridgetown, Barbados. He was a former cricketer who captained West Indies and widely regarded as one of the greatest ever all-rounders, of cricket having excelled at all the essential skills of batting, bowling and fielding. He became a dual Barbadian-Australian citizen through marriage in 1980.

3. Viv Richards

Sir Isaac Vivian Alexander Richards was born 7 March 1952 is a former West Indian cricketer. Better known by his second name, Vivian or, more popularly, simply as Viv or King Viv.

Richards was voted one of the five Cricketers of the Century in 2000, by a 100-member panel of experts, along with Sir Donald Bradman, Sir Garfield Sobers, Sir Jack Hobbs and Shane Warne.

In December 2002, he was chosen by Wis-den as the greatest ODI batsman of all time, as well as the third greatest Test batsman of all time, after Sir Don Bradman and Sachin Tendulkar.

4. Shane Warne

Shane Keith Warne was born on 13 September 1969 is a former Australian international cricketer widely regarded as one of the greatest bowlers in the history of the game.

Warne played his first Test match in 1992, and his 708 wickets was the record for the most wickets taken by any bowler in Test cricket, until it was broken by Sri Lanka’s Muttiah Muralitharan He took over 1000 wickets in Tests and One-Day Internationals.

He retired from international cricket in January 2007, at the end of Australia’s 5–0 Ashes series victory over England. Following his retirement from international cricket, Warne played a full season at Hampshire in 2007.

5. Jack Hobbs

Sir John Berry “Jack” Hobbs was born 16 December 1882 in Cambridgewas an English professional cricketer who played for England in 61 Test matches from 1908 to 1930.

Universally known as “Jack” and nicknamed “The Master”, Hobbs is widely regarded as cricket’s greatest-ever opening batsman and holds world record of most runs scoring in first-class cricket.

Hobbs was a right-handed batsman (RHB) and a useful right-arm medium pace bowler (RM) who took 108 career wickets with a best analysis of 7/56. Hobbs was also considered a “brilliant” cover point feilder. He died on 21 December 1963 in Hove.

6. Dennis Lillee

Dennis Keith Lillee was born on 18 July 1949 in Subiaco, Western Australia is a former Australian cricketer rated as the “outstanding fast bowler of his generation.

By the time of his retirement from international cricket in 1984 he had become the then world record holder for most Test wickets (355),and had firmly established himself as one of the most recognisable and renowned Australian sportsmen of all time.

On 17 December 2009, Lillee was inducted into the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame.

7. Sachin Tendulkar

Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar was born on 24 April 1973) is an Indian cricketer widely regarded as one of the greatest batsmen in the history of world cricket. He is the leading run-scorer and century maker in Test and one-day international cricket. He is the only  player to score a double century in the history of ODI cricket

Tendulkar is the first and the only player in Test Cricket history to score fifty centuries, and the first to score fifty centuries in all international cricket combined; he now has 99 centuries in international cricketHe was also the first player to score 10,000 runs in one-day internationals.

 He won the 2010 Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy for cricketer of the year at the ICC awards.

8. Imran Khan

Imran Khan Niazi was born 25 November 1952 is a former Pakistani cricketer and politician, playing international cricket for two decades in the late twentieth century and being a politician since the mid-1990s.

Imran Khan played for the Pakistani cricket team from 1971 to 1992 and served as its captain intermittently throughout 1982-1992. Imran Khan led his teammates to Pakistan’s first and only World Cup victory in 1992.

He has a record of 3807 runs and 362 wickets in Test cricket, making him one of eight world cricketers to have achieved an ‘All-rounder’s Triple’ in Test matches. On 14 July 2010, Khan was inducted into the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame.

9.Wally Hammond

Walter Reginald “Wally” Hammond was born on 19 June 1903 was an English Test cricketer .

In a Test career spanning 85 matches, he scored 7,249 runs and took 83 wickets. Hammond captained England in 20 of those Tests, winning four, losing three, and drawing 13.

As of October 2010, his total of 22 Test centuries remains an English record. In 1933, he set a record for the highest individual Test innings of 336 not out, surpassed by Len Hutton in 1938.

10. Sunil Gavaskar

Sunil Manohar Sunny was born on July 10 1949 in Bombay, Bombay India is a former cricketer who played during the 1970s and 1980s for Bombay and India. Widely regarded as one of the greatest opening batsmen in cricket history.

Sunil  Gavaskar set world records during his career for the most Test runs and most Test centuries scored by any batsman. He held the record of 34 Test centuries for almost two decades before it was broken by Sachin Tendulkar in December 2005.
