6th of September is celebrated as a Defense Day in Pakistan. It has great importance in the history of Pakistan. It is a golden and memorable day in history of Pakistan. It describes efforts of military and people at the time of 1965.

People of Pakistan is celebrating day since 1965 just for telling that how people were brave at the critical time and were proud of offering sacrificing of their lives and things for defence of  Pakistan.

History of 1965 War:
Forty-six years ago on September, the Indian Army crossed Wagah border at 3.30: am and attacked on Lahore without any formal declaration of war. At that time 2nd war started between Pakistan and India.

India attacked on three main borders of Pakistan like Lahore, Sialkot and Rajasthan. But the brave army of Pakistan defended that attack nicely.

On the evening of the 6th September PAF attacked on Pathankot and Halwra. They got their mission and IAF lost their 10 aircraft on the ground. In this great mission PAF used its great two pilots that are Squadron Leader Sarfraz and Flight Lieutenant Younis Ahmed. After a great success both are killed by IAF.

The great Major Raja Aziz Bhatti was posted in the burki area of Lahore sector. He chose to move his company forward under constant firing from Indian tanks and helicopters. He was a brave man; he fought without any rest in the war. He resisted for five days and nights defending a Pakistani outpost on BRB canal.

In that war after a great fight he had died like a lion. Government of Pakistan had announced the big award of Pakistan Nishan-e-Haider to that brave man.
After a great fight Pakistan beat India. They show their brevity, unity and prosperity that a nation need. They prove that you can win any battle without modern weapons but you must need unity.

Celebration of Defence Day:
The day of 6th September starts with special prayers for peace and prosperity of Pakistan and for all persons who have died for Pakistan.
President of Pakistan, Chief of Army Staff and other government officials jointly celebrate the functions of defence day.

Army of Pakistan gave great tribute to their Shaheeds like they go their tombs and throw flowers on their graves and also pray for them.

Army of Pakistan displays their missiles, tanks, guns, helicopters and Air Crafts. The function of defence day is live telecast on PTV.

The basic aim of its celebration is to tell people how they can give sacrifice for the defense of the country and what is the responsibility of young generation now.
An environment of patriotic passion is generated in nation by celebrating defense day. The people of Pakistan make decisions to work with sincerity for the progress of their beloved country. Independence of the country was earned by the sacrifices of millions of lives be protected and unity of the nation could be further strengthened.
My basic aim to write this article to give great tribute to those people who made efforts at the time of September 1965. They are the brave people of the world.

You can learn from this article how you can defend your county if you don’t have latest weapons and atomic missiles. You can beat the opposite army with determination, unity and prosperity like Pakistan Army.
